KOTA KINABALU: Seven entertainment outlets were raided by the police in the ongoing Ops Cantas to prevent and combat crime in the state capital.
The two-hour operation, which started at midnight yesterday, saw police teams making surprise spot checks on the outlets in Lintas and KK Times Square.
City police chief ACP Jauteh Dikun said about 40 police officers and personnel from the city police headquarters and the state police headquarters in Kepayan were involved in the operation.
“The raids were made to identify criminal activities at entertainment outlets around the state capital.
“The operation is also part of the ongoing Ops Cantas to fight crime in the state capital,” he said when contacted yesterday.
No arrest were made during the operation, said Jauteh, adding that such raids would be carry out from time to time.
