KENINGAU: A man cheated death when a logging trailer lorry he was driving landed on its side in the middle of the road near here yesterday.
District Police chief DSP Robert Salisip @ David said the 49-year-old driver was on sending logs from Sook to Keningau when the mishap took place about noon at Mile 16 Sook-Keningau road near Kampung Barasanon, Sook.
The driver suffered only minor injuries
Robert said no other vehicle was involved in the mishap which caused a minor jam as part of the road was blocked by the trailer and the fallen logs.
He advised road users, especially those travelling long distance, to check their vehicles before starting their journey and ensure that they have enough rest the night before and not in a state of fatigue.
