TENOM: A local couple were killed when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a vehicle at Km 13, Tenom-Keningau road on Thursday night.
The husband and wife were on their way home to Kampung Pagansangon Melalap when the incident happened at 9.30pm.
District police chief Deputy Superintendent Mazlan Haji Lazim said both Pius Ingkor, 34, and pillion rider Launa Upis, 30, from Kampung Angalor Kemabong, died on the spot in the incident.
“Both victims suffered severe head injuries and internal bleeding,” he said, while the 44-year-old driver of the vehicle only suffered minor injuries and was given outpatient treatment.
Mazlan said the accident was being investigated under the Road Transport Act.
