PENAMPANG: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) president Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan yesterday announced the appointment of Datuk Johnny Mositun as the party’s new secretary general for the 2013-2016 term of office.
Mositun who is also Deputy State Assembly Speaker and the party’s former chief information officer, replaces Datuk Henrynus Amin.
Mositun will be assisted by former vice president and Kadamaian assemblyman Datuk Herbert T Lagadan.
Pairin in a statement yesterday said: “Today, I have signed several letters appointing certain members of PBS into the positions of secretary-general, assistant-secretary general, treasurer-general, assistant treasurer-general, chief publicity officer and assistant publicity officer. They are Datuk Johnny Mositun (secretary general), Datuk Herbert Timbun Lagadan (assistant secretary general), Datuk Linda Tsen (treasurer general), Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam (assistant treasurer general), Datuk Jahid Jahim (chief publicity officer) and Datuk Bernard Maraat (assistant chief publicity officer).
“The rest of expected appointed members to the Supreme Council will be announced soon,” he added.
Pairin will be presenting some of the appointed supreme council members with their appointment letters today, Nov 15.
