SANDAKAN: Twelve bullets were found in a couple’s hotel room at Taman Indah Jaya, Mile 4, here during a raid carried out by policemen from the district narcotic unit on Wednesday.
The police found syabu (methamphetamine), a laptop with the label ‘Hak Milik Kerajaan’ and a brown bag in the laptop bag containing the bullets.
Early inspection showed the man in the hotel room said that the laptop bag was given by a guy named ‘Lan’ and he did not know where Lan got the bullets from.
The couple, both aged 31, tested positive for syabu and were remanded by the narcotic police under Section 12 (2) and 15 (1) of Dangerous Drug Act 1952.
The suspects were also detained under Section 8(a) of Arms Act 1960 for possession of the bullets.
