PENAMPANG: A 12-year-old boy has been reported missing and feared drowned after he fell into a monsoon drain along Jalan Pintas near CKS in Penampang yesterday.
Mohd Jimal Jamal allegedly fell into the monsoon drain around 9am.
Fire and Rescue Services Department public relations officer Senior Assistant Superintendent Mohd Affendy Ramin said the department received the information at 9.33am and six Fire and Rescue Services personnel from the scuba unit arrived at the scene within minutes.
He said a search operation was carried out with assistance from several departments, including members of the public.
At press time, the missing boy had still not been found and the search operation would continue at 6am today.
