“We cannot be split between parents, teachers and students to boost school education,” he said while speaking at the 4-in-1 event at SMK Nabayan open hall here on Thursday.

The ceremony was officiated by Deputy Chief Minister and Infrastructure Development Minister, Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan.
Jame said this is an important commitment of all parties, parents, teachers, students, leaders and community in boosting education in the state.
He said that the state Department of Education is an organization with a mission and vision drive towards excellence in all aspects of the development of education in line with other states in the country.
Thus, he said, education excellence is a platform that aspired to the mission and vision of where the various programs are implemented to accelerate excellent fit with the wishes of the Ministry of Education of equivalent world education.
To realize this dream, he said, the program held today is a branch which saw the participation of all parties to jointly achieve the mission and vision of the Department of Education.
He hopes that the involvement and cooperation would always continue without negative feelings which can retard the dream to be an excellent school. Their involvement was also the impetus for a pillar of strength of the school.
He also called for collaboration among teachers where an absence of a sense of state (kenegerian) in the teaching profession can affect the mission and vision of the Ministry of Education who want education in this country to be equal to that of the world.
“I want this concept to be changed from the attitude of state to Nationalism spirit. I do not want this kind of perception. Consider ourselves as Malaysian Teachers who served for the nation, religion and country,” he said.
Jame also described the Tutor Education newspaper sponsored by state leaders as a concern and a major contribution to the development of education in the state.
He said, so far the two state leaders, the Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture and Food Industry Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Yahya Hussein and Deputy Chief Minister and Infrastructure Development Minister, Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan have sponsored Tutor Education Newspapers of Utusan Melayu (Malaysia) Berhad.
According to him, this sponsorship also implies a sense of responsibility and commitment of a leader to student excellence especially those who will sit for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) this year.
At the same time, he also called on parents not to be too dependent on the government alone, but they also have a sense of belonging and responsibility to help the school.
“There are 11 schools in the Keningau parliamentary area that are supplied with Utusan Melayu Tutor Education Newspaper to help students excel in the SPM examination this year in which sponsorship is injected to encourage and motivate students to pass the exam,” he said.
