KENINGAU: Three local men escaped death when the three-ton lorry they were travelling in skidded downhill and landed on its side at Km 10 Keningau-Kimanis Road on Tuesday.
District police chief Deputy Superintendent Robert Salisip @ David yesterday said the truck skidded down a hill near Kampung Ulu Bariawa here about 6.10pm.
“The incident occurred due to brake failure,” he said, adding that the victims, traveling from Kota Kinabalu to Keningau, suffered only minor injuries and were being treated at the hospital here.
