PAPAR: Prominent housing developer Datuk Susan Wong Siew Guen yesterday handed over a sheltered mini stage built by her company to the Papar District Police Headquarters.

The Mega Sunwise Sdn Bhd managing director said the contribution of the sheltered stage was a gesture of appreciation to Papar IPD for maintaining security in the district, including Kinarut, where her company’s The Palm Condominium is being developed.

“We built this mini stage to give back to the community because we have development projects in Kinarut and Papar,” she said.

Wong expressed her gratitude to the police officers and personnel in Papar for ensuring security in the housing areas developed by her company.

She said her company’s latest project was The Palm Condominium, which is now under construction. The first phase is slated for completion next year.

Wong encouraged residents in Papar to consider purchasing a unit at The Palm Condominium Kinarut, not only as a place to live in but also for investment.

“When the Goods and Services Tax (GST) is implemented on April 1 next year, we will see a hike in construction costs and subsequently a surge in property prices,” she predicted.

Meanwhile, Papar police chief DSP George Abd Rahman thanked Wong for her company’s contribution, saying the mini stage would be put to good use for activities organized by the police headquarters.
