KOTA KINABALU: A 73-year-old man died after he was hit by a Perodua Kancil car while crossing the road yesterday.
Sjafar Bondori was crossing the road near Kampung Tebobon, Menggatal around 11.25am when he was hit by the vehicle coming from Tuaran.
It was learnt that the victim was thrown onto the windshield and bonnet of the Kancil before he landed on the road.
He did not survive due to serious injuries.
The Kancil was driven by a young woman who was travelling with a female companion from Tuaran to Menggatal.
The body of the victim had been taken to the hospital for post-mortem.
