KOTA KINABALU: Police are still investigating the burglary case of a jewellery shop in Menggatal town on Friday where the owner suffered RM4,000 in losses.
City police chief ACP Jauteh Dikun said no arrest have been made and the police are seeking help from the public who have information about the burglary.
The police are investigating the case under Section 457 of the Penal Code.
It is believed that on June 28, burglars prised open the shop grilled door to gain entry and stole numerous items from the display table but failed to prise open an iron safe that contained jewellery items.
Among the items missing from the shop were 267 pieces of cellphone reload cards, a DVD player, a speaker and RM1,050 in cash.
It is also learnt that the shop was not equipped with any CCTV cameras.
