SEMPORNA: A Taiwanese woman is believed to have been kidnapped when gunmen raided a resort in Pulau Pom Pom in Semporna in the east coast of Sabah. Her husband was shot dead.
Her husband, a 57-year-old tourist identified as Lim Min Hsu was found with two gunshot wounds along the corridor of the water village resort at about 1am Friday.
The woman has been identified as 58-year-old An Wei Chang and has been missing following the incident.
The couple, who arrived at the resort on Tuesday, was scheduled to leave the island on Nov 20.
The Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar has confirmed the incident.
Police and military were keeping vigilance.
