KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Education Director Datuk Jame Alip said the PT3 examination in Sabah will go on as scheduled next Monday despite the prevailing unfavourable weather conditions.
A total of 41,106 candidates will be sitting for the examination at 231 centres throughout the State.
Jame said this after holding a dialogue with a Sarawak Education Department delegation headed by its director, Hajjah Serina Sauni, at Wisma Pendidikan near here yesterday.
The director said they would monitor the weather situation and if it worsened, the department would activate its disaster committee headed by all the district education offices.
“If the situation requires it, we will place all our candidates at schools’ hostels so that they can sit for the examination. We’ll provide them with lodging and food. What is important is that the examination must go on,” he said.
However, he hoped that the weather would be improved in the next few days.
The director added that all the schools were ready for the PT3 examination.
PT3 candidates will be sitting for the Bahasa Melayu and Mathematics papers on Monday, English and Science on Tuesday and Life Skills (Kemahiran Hidup) on Wednesday.
