The Warriors Day celebration at the community hall in Sandakan.
SANDAKAN: The Warriors’ Day celebration to commemorate servicemen who were killed in the line of duty was held here yesterday.
The celebration was held at community hall and attended by Karamunting assemblyman Charles O Pang Su Pin as the guest of honour.
Also present were Elopura assemblyman Au Kam Wah, Sandakan Municipal Council president Datuk Ir James Wong, former Youth and Sport Minister Datuk Pang En Yin and armed forces personnel.
The celebration started at 8am with the singing of the national anthem, ‘The Last Post’ by Royal Army Battalion 22 and poem recital by Jahari Mohd Noor entitled ‘Unggun Api Yang Berdarah’ for fallen heroes in Tanduo.
