KOTA KINABALU: Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Youth deputy youth leader Chiang Bhat Sing has praised the FIT Programme Malaysia organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports under the leadership of Khairy Jamaluddin.
“FIT Malaysia is a creative programme designed to help us love sports and fitness activities in a fun and interesting way. Through sports, we can foster unity among our countrymen and it is a platform for community-building,” he said.
Chiang hopes this program can also be held in other major towns in Sabah to encourage the youngsters today to take part in sports and fitness activities in order to improve their physical, social, physiological wellbeing and play a part in making Malaysia a truly sporting nation.
He said this after leading a group of LDP members to participate in the programme which was held at Teluk Likas on September 21.
FIT Malaysia aims to facilitate the adoption of healthy lifestyle amongst all Malaysians. It is also the Youth and Sports Ministry’s aspiration to make Malaysia a true sporting nation.
The event attracted thousands of people, especially the young generation and successfully facilitated the community to participate in various sport and fitness activities. It also helped to cultivate a healthy lifestyle.
