TAWAU: A 40-year-old woman was stabbed several times during a robbery by a knife-wielding man who also took her gold necklace and wallet at the junction of Sin San, Jalan Utara here yesterday.

In the 2pm incident yesterday, the victim who was busy shifting her things into a car-wash shop did not notice a man lurking nearby.
She was subsequently attacked and stabbed on her hand, chest and back by the knife-wielding man, who then ran away with her gold necklace and wallet.
A man named Chang, who happened to pass by, saw the victim covered with blood seeking help from him.
A woman selling fruits nearby immediately contacted the police to inform them of the incident.
According to her, she saw the robber running away after robbing the victim of her gold necklace and wallet.
The injured victim was later sent to the Tawau Gospital in a police patrol car to receive treatment for the injuries.
