TAWAU: Two men were detained here on Friday in connection with the theft of a Custom director’s official car from Taman Kingfisher, Kota Kinabalu recently.
District police chief, ACP Awang Besar Dullah, said the two suspects, who did not possess any identification documents, were detained by Tawau police task force at Kampung Sungai Buaya, Mile 3 Apas Road at about 12.30 pm where a Proton Inspira car was also recovered.
He said the two men, both aged 32-years-old, were detained inside an unnumbered house and the car with false number plate SS5253T (original number SAB2284J) was seized.
Also seized were an Inspira car key, a black bag, a bunch of house keys, diary bag, a Maybank, Alliance Bank and ASB account books, a Perbadanan Pinjaman Sabah card, a Nokia cellular phone, 2 diary books and a Kingston pen drive.
