TENOM: A 28-year-old man is feared drowned when he fell into the Padas River near Pangi Hydro Station here on Tuesday evening.
District Fire and Rescue Department senior officer Ajis Ajap yesterday said the department received a distress call from the public at 6.07pm and six members in one fire engine arrived at the scene about 6.20pm.
“The operation to search for Cellixtus Lajiun from Kampung Rompon Tambunan, who works as a plant operator at the hydro station, failed and the search was adjourned at 7.30pm,” he said.
Ajis said the operation would continue today together with police and fire and rescue volunteers.
