KOTA KINABALU: A 26-year-old motorcyclist succumbed to injuries a day after colliding with a car on Saturday.
The driver of the Honda City car coming from the Karamunsing direction was turning into Sadong Jaya junction when it hit the side of the motorcycle coming from Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman around 4.40pm on Saturday.
The impact of the collision threw the motorcyclist, Sazali bin Mehdan, from Kampung Sembulan off his bike, causing him to sustain severe head injuries.
He was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1 but passed away around 2.50pm yesterday.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
