KOTA KINABALU: Three persons suspected of involvement in the murder of Pahang Religious Department (JAIP) enforcement chief Abdul Malik Ahmad Raffli in November last year, were arrested by police at an apartment in Papar yesterday.
It is learnt that the three suspects in their 30s, including a follower of the deviant group Tuhan Harun, were arrested at 2.30pm at Block A, Melinsung Summer Resort Apartments, Papar by a team from the Task Force on Organized Crime (STAFOC) from Bukit Aman.

“Syabas STAFOC@pdrmsia berjaya tangkap 3 lelaki di Papar, Sabah tadi, berkait kes bunuh Pegawai JAIP tempoh hari,” (Well done STAFOC @ pdrmsia successful arrest 3 men in Papar, Sabah earlier, related to murder of JAIP officer the other day), which was posted in his Twitter account at 5.08pm yesterday.
Abdul Malik was gunned down at close range by one of the three suspects, who wore a black hood and a cap, in front of his house at Indera Mahkota 2, Kuantan around 2.30pm on November 10, 2013.
It was also learnt that the arrested trio are being transported back to the Peninsular for further investigation.
