SANDAKAN: Eleven business premises were summoned by the Sandakan Municipal Council (SMC) yesterday for operating without permit along the pavement.
According to SMC assistant senior enforcement officer Sairin Abd Rahman, the operation was carried out at Pryer Road around 9am.
“During the operation, 28 premises were inspected and 11 summonses were issued.
“For operators who paid their compound of RM300, the confiscated goods were returned to them,” he said yesterday.
However, he stressed that confiscated goods would not be returned during the next operation.
Meanwhile, Sairin urged business operators to comply with the rules by not operating their stalls on the pavement.
