KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) has set up a special task force to probe the statewide power outage that hit Sabah on Friday.
SESB Senior General Manager (Asset Management) Muhamad Nazri Pazil will lead the team, and submit a report to Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water and Tenaga Nasional Berhad.
The company in a statement here yesterday, said further investigations were still being carried out to identify the cause of power trip, which affected almost the whole of Sabah.
It revealed that supply in Sabah and Federal Teritory of Labuan had been fully restored at 10.20pm Friday, over 11 hours after it started at 11.05am.
“Supply was restored in stages, district by district, starting with Ranau at 12.15pm and finally Sandakan at 10.20pm. All inconveniences caused are greatly regretted,” said the statement.
