Putting blame on ‘budak nakal’ immature

KOTA KINABALU: Former deputy chief of Sabah Ex-Police Association of Malaysia, Robert Foo, called it immature for putting the blame on ‘budak nakal’ (mischievous teenagers) for the recent shooting spree in the city, before investigation is completed.

This, he said, is due to the fact that the culprits managed to put a hole through more than 40 premises in the city and sub-urban areas of Penampang, Inanam and Luyang, and this showed that they had planned the crime in advance.

“From the way the incident had taken place, it didn’t look like a simple criminal offence and it’s more of a grand design as Deputy Defence Minister Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri had said earlier.

“To assume that the crimes were committed by ‘budak nakal’ is a premature assumption,” said Foo.

He pointed out that the police should conduct an intelligent investigation to search for the perpetrators.
