KOTA MARUDU: A five-year-old boy died head injuries in the hospital four hours after he and his father were involved in a collision with a lorry while riding a motorcycle at Km 0.9, Jalan Lotong, here on Thursday.
Rid Raimond died at the Kota Marudu hospital at 12.30pm while his father is reported to be fighting for his life at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in Kota Kinabalu.

Both father and son were immediately rushed to the district hospital following the collision but Rid succumbed to internal head injury at the hospital. The father was then transferred to QEH for treatment and is now reported to be still in a coma.

The lorry driver has been remanded to facilitate police investigation under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Mohd Isa is urging eyewitness of the accident to come forward to assist police in their investigation.
