LAHAD DATU: Three used clothing shops owner suffered losses when their shops located at Dataran Singgamata, Jalan Pancuran, here were destroyed by fire at around midnight yesterday.
District Fire and Rescue department chief, Mohd Apandi Mahmood, said his department received a fire alert at 12.13 am and rushed two fire engines with six firefighters led by Zulkifli Harry to the scene.
“We took three minutes to arrive at the scene and fifteen minutes to control the blaze from spreading to other shops that were located close to each other. The fire was completely extinguished and the operation ended at 2.58 am,” he said when contacted.
Apandi added that the cause of fire and losses were still under investigation.
